When it comes to custom components I&#039;ll design it and let the programmers build them out (usually from scratch). They make sure to make the finished product something I can skin and I usually go back and forth it get it looking the way I want.

If you haven&#039;t checked out Ely Greenfield&#039;s Display Shelf Component, that&#039;s a pretty good representation of what I get from the programmers (itemRender, styling, skinning capabilites included).

I was just wondering, the work flow you describe seems to be for the &#039;out-of-the-box&#039; components ( and that&#039;s cool ). Have you had any experience with work flows for designing custom Flex components? Say, putting something together with the Flash9 IDE and bringing it into Flex, or even just a pretty heavy customization of an existing Flex component. Would be super interested to hear about how it went if you have.
