For those using Flex 3.0 who want to use a wireframe theme to manage client expectations, Ted put some stuff together some time ago.

http://www.onflex.org/ted/2007/11/managing-ui-development-expectations.php

Both new theme look wireframish to me, which IMO is a good thing because it will mean people will feel more need to skin them instead of leaving their app in the default Halo theme.

I'd like to see the up and down buttons on the ScrollBar square instead of rectangular,

I really like the new theme, but I've heard somewhere that it'll change before the final release. For the wireframe theme, I also think that it's completely a must to show "undesigned" wireframes to a client, 'cos as Juan said, more often than not, they'd like to leave the design as is.

We're looking forward to start playing with the "Gumbonents" :P

Great post Juan!

Yeah agree with Josh about the scroll bars. Possibly a little minimalistic too.
At least I can see the demand for Skinning skills going up ;)

The scroll bar buttons look a little strange, but I like the overall simplicity. Clean and professional, and not too distinct. Even if boring developers don't change it much, I think this one will blend in more than Halo's default. However, for the more aesthetically-mindled, it begs to be customized, as you mentioned. I hope they tweak those scroll bar buttons, though. Seriously. Reminds me of Java's default skin or something. The big arrows stick out like a sore thumb.

Nice observation about the "blueprint" theme. That will come in handy.
